This course is a one-time requirement for supervisors of employees who utilize personal protective equipment (PPE). Topics covered include developing hazard assessments to determine appropriate PPE and an overview of the PowerPoint presentation used to provide work group specific PPE training to your employees. The format of the training is instructor-led.
NOTES:
- This training is intended for non-laboratory personnel. PPE requirements for research labs, such as those where chemical, radioactive, biological, or reactive processes are conducted, are covered by the Laboratory and Research Safety Plan via the Unit Specific Plan.
- Wood shops, metal shops, maintenance shops, machine shops, and similar areas are not considered research labs and thus fall under the PSU Personal Protective Equipment program.
TRAINING IS AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST. THERE ARE NO REGULARLY SCHEDULED CLASSES FOR THIS TRAINING COURSE.
