Life Safety Systems

Supporting safe buildings, informed decision‑making, and effective emergency response to help protect the campus community in every environment.

Life Safety is about people first.

The Life Safety program is dedicated to protecting lives through proactive planning, prevention, and preparedness. By focusing on safe environments, clear emergency procedures, and community awareness, Life Safety supports spaces where learning, research, work, and campus life can happen with confidence.

Life Safety brings together the essential elements that help people know what to do, where to go, and how to stay safe—before, during, and after an emergency. Through education, coordination, and continuous improvement, the program helps create environments that are not only compliant, but intentionally designed with human safety at the center.

At its core, Life Safety is about readiness, responsibility, and care for one another—building a culture where safety is understood, shared, and lived every day.
