This webpage lists all of the EHS training by program area.  They can be searched using a specific term or filtered by program.  Click on the course name to open the description.  The narratives explain who needs to take the training, if it is required or recommended, If it is a one-time training or needs to be taken more than once, the format of the training, and provides a link to the training and program webpage.

This course is an optional, but strongly recommended training for laboratory and research personnel who need to operate autoclaves.  The format of the training is an online presentation. Additional hands-on training must also be provided by the supervisor or a knowledgeable person.

Regulated Medical Waste

This course is an optional, but strongly recommended training for laboratory and research personnel who generate, handle, or dispose of regulated medical waste at Penn State.  Regulated medical waste includes lab generated waste that has been or could have been in contact with disease causing organisms or recombinant nucleic acids.  This includes cultures or stocks of disease-causing organisms including bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites, and items that have been in contact with human blood or other potentially infectious materials.  The format of the training is an online presentation.
